Willy’s meeting is a cultural event. It has developed into the most important meeting of its kind beyond the German-speaking countries. More than 2,000 participants in over 650 vehicles from many European countries followed Marianne Janssen’sinvitation in 2009.
Globetrotters and travel friends from all over Europe are meeting for the 31th time this year! All new and old campervans, motorhomes, motorcycles, bicycles and backpackers are most welcome to join the meeting.
An exchange of information and getting to know each other are the purpose of the globetrotters’ meeting. Slide shows and films in the evenings from journeys to far away countries belong to the program as well as a private flea market for used camping gear or vehicle spare parts. Motorhomes and travel cars offer cause for intensive discussions about individual designs and historical travel vehicles of each kind:
Naturally the traditional expedition mobile Hanomag, Unimog, Pinzgauer, Magirus Deutz, in addition, converted IFA and Urals as all wheel motor homes, 4x4 mobile with individual superstructures for expeditions, motor homes of VW, Mercedes, Hymer…, Offroad and 4x4 vehicles, Pickups; Jeeps, Land Rover, Toyota Buschtaxis, Busfans with Setra-Camper-Busses and old timers for living on wheels…
